In 2017, Cirencester celebrates the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Augustinian Abbey. We have created a year long festival to commemorate the founding of the Abbey, to celebrate the life of our town from that day to this and to express our enthusiasm and confidence for its future. Abbey 900 will be holding many events to celebrate over 2017.

The Growth Hub will help to grow the Gloucestershire economy by assisting local businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to accelerate their growth and exploit their full potential. The Growth Hub will also build on the RAU’s existing areas of expertise by supporting businesses working in agri-technology or based in rural environments across the county.

The two-day Phoenix festival features eclectic music from the Cotswolds and the wider area, with a host of stalls, traders, artists, food and drink and charities hosting stalls at the event. The action packed event will also feature children’s activities and performance arts. Over 18,000 visitors come to the Abbey Grounds over the 25th & 26th August 2018.
