The focus of the Cirencester Community Development Trust is to support projects, initiatives and ideas that help to develop our wonderful town for the benefit of the people and businesses of Cirencester and the surrounding area.  We do this by providing management and funding support to local projects and events. Have you got a project? Then why not contact CCDT and find out how we may be able to assist you.

Our focus for 2020 is the VE75 Commemoration. The Cirencester Community Development Trust in collaboration with Cirencester Town Council, the 29th Regiment, The Bathurst Estate and Polo Club, the Barn Theatre, the Church and other local groups are planning a weekend of events over the rearranged May Bank Holiday starting on the Friday 8th May. Watch this space for more information.

In 2019 we will continue to be involved with; The Phoenix Festival, Summer in Cirencester, Cirencester and The City of Bathurst FriendshipThe Growth Hub, The Abbey900 Legacy and the Ozone Partnership. We will shortly be announcing other projects and incentives which CCDT will be supporting.

Looking to get more involved with local projects and events ? Have some free time to Volunteer ?

Volunteering can be a Pathway to Employment or a preparation for an active and rewarding retirement. The Cirencester Community Development Trust are launching a database of volunteers so if you have any time, from a few minutes to a few hours there will be a volunteering opportunity for you. If you would like a regular slot, to work on a rota with others, giving a day a week or a day a month register on our web site and we will pass your details to a local charity or organisation in need of your services.

Thank you for visiting our website where you can find out more about what we do and how you can get involved

The Cirencester Community Development Trust in collaboration with the Royal British Legion and the Barn Theatre Project at Ingleside delivered a commemorative weekend to celebrate the end of the First World War culminating on Sunday 11th November 2018 with the largest human poppy and worked with the Vicar, Clergy and officers of the Parish Church of St John Baptist for a community service.

The Growth Hub is now up and running and will help to grow the Gloucestershire economy by assisting local businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to accelerate their growth and exploit their full potential. The Growth Hub will also build on the RAU’s existing areas of expertise by supporting businesses working in agri-technology or based in rural environments across the county.

The two-day Phoenix festival features eclectic music from the Cotswolds and the wider area, with a host of stalls, traders, artists, food and drink and charities hosting stalls at the event. The action packed event will also feature children’s activities and performance arts. Last year over 18,000 visitors came to the Abbey Grounds for the festival . We hope to see you over the weekend of 24th & 25th August 2019.
