Cirencester: 1938. The Second World War is about to start and Cirencester’s hare community gather to form the Military Hares Corps. Stepping back in time from ‘The Siege of the Hares’ story, this chronicle documents the young life, military training and rise to greatness of General Harry Bingham HC and his faithful comrade and confidant, Sergeant Coxwell.
Together this intrepid duo, along with help from their human counterpart, Brigadier General Shooter, plan and implement the epic construction of the subterranean purpose-built Military Hares HQ Burrow located under the Abbey House Grounds field. They train and recruit the greatest hare troop in the country to help monitor and protect Cirencester from the growing threat of the ever-threatening enemy.
