The Cotswold House
Dr. Tim Jordan
Monday 23 January 2017
Tim has had a long standing general interest in vernacular architecture and old buildings.
Hetook the opportunity to develop this interest following his retirement as a lecturer in Neuroscience and Physiological Psychology (i.e. brain and behaviour).
He began with two books on Cotswold Stone Barns, followed by the current one on 'The Cotswold House'
- which is a brief historical overview of an evolving Cotswold style from medieval times to the present day; seen from a selection of cottages, farm houses, manor houses and examples of grander homes from across the the region in an attempt to tease out some of their defining features and characteristics.
